Shipping & Delivery

Your artwork, prepared and delivered with care

Where can PFH deliver?

PFH delivers to many countries and regions. Enter your destination and delivery address at checkout to see whether delivery is available and which services you can choose.

If we need any more details about the destination, we’ll contact you before dispatch.

How much does delivery cost?

You’ll see the delivery cost before you pay. Orders of US$500 or more qualify for free shipping where that option is available for the delivery address. Checkout shows whether it applies and any charge for the available service.

If we need more information about the destination, artwork size, packaging or customs arrangements, we’ll contact you before dispatch and talk you through the available choice.

Customs duties, import taxes or handling charges may apply depending on the destination. If charged by local authorities or the carrier, they are normally paid by the recipient.

How long does the whole process usually take?

Each commissioned portrait needs the artist’s full care and attention. These are our usual production guides:

Small About 15 days Rush can reduce this to about 7 days
Medium About 30 days With Rush, production and scheduling time is usually about 40% shorter
Large About 45 days With Rush, production and scheduling time is usually about 40% shorter
Oversized About 60 days With Rush, production and scheduling time is usually about 40% shorter
When production time begins Once we have suitable photos and all the information needed, production time begins when the first Preview is accepted, or when its 3-calendar-day review period ends without a reply. Each new Preview brings a new 3-calendar-day review period. For a Master commission, timing begins once the creative idea is agreed.
Rush Rush can be chosen with an Emerging or Established commission. Along with shortening production and scheduling, PFH will try to arrange a faster suitable transport method for the destination. Shorter routes may use air transport; for longer routes, a faster sea service may be selected when a suitable option is available. A Master commission follows its individual schedule.
Please allow a little more time Preview, your replies, natural oil-paint drying, framing, packing, customs and delivery each need their own time. Drying can vary with the weather, temperature and humidity.
Planning around a date If you hope to receive the commissioned portrait by a particular date, please tell us as early as you can. We’ll consider its size, the artist’s current schedule, natural drying, the weather and the available delivery arrangements, then share the most realistic estimate available at that time.
Delivery Enter your delivery address at checkout to see the available services and charges for your destination. For help with delivery, contact PFH.
How should I plan for a holiday or special date?

Planning a birthday, anniversary or holiday gift? Tell us your preferred arrival date and destination as early as you can.

We’ll consider the artwork size, the artist’s current schedule, the time the oil paint needs to dry naturally, the weather and the delivery arrangements. We’ll share the most realistic estimate available at that time and keep you updated if any of these factors changes.

How will my artwork be packed?

We prepare your artwork carefully for its journey. The packaging is chosen for the artwork’s size, frame and destination.

If we need more information about special packaging or customs arrangements, we’ll contact you before dispatch. If the artwork arrives damaged, we’ll help under our Returns guidance.

How long does delivery take after the artwork is finished?

Once your artwork is on its way, we’ll share the tracking or delivery updates provided by the carrier.

Available services and timing depend on the destination and delivery address and are shown at checkout.

If you have a preferred arrival date, tell us in advance. We’ll consider the artwork size, the artist’s current schedule, natural drying, the weather and delivery arrangements, and share the most realistic estimate available at that time.

Customs review or a carrier delay can change the estimate after shipment, and we’ll share the latest update available.

For help with a delivery question, contact PFH with the destination and a short description of what you need. If you have already ordered, include your order number.

What should I do if my artwork arrives damaged?

If your artwork arrives damaged, we’re truly sorry. Please contact us as soon as you can, and within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and clear photos of both the packaging and the artwork so we can understand what happened.

We’ll review everything carefully and go through what happened with you. We’ll then explain the remedy available, the timing and any costs under the law that applies to your order.

You can find the full details on our Returns page.

For any other delivery question, contact PFH with your order number and a short note about what you need.
